In our previous post that you can read by clicking on Landlord Insurance Newport Ky we find our new real estate investor — Jimmy John raising a pricing objection to our contractor — Riff Willington, owner of Riff Raf Construction on his estimate and as was indicated in the last article Riff did not expect Jimmy John to object, he seemed like a nice guy — i.e. an easy mark for Riff to pad on some extra fees for his services.

But old Jimmy throws Riff a curveball when he objects to the pricing and wants to get another price quote from another contractor — which Riff wants to avoid because he needs the work.

So, Riff, puts on his best smile and makes up a quick story so he doesn’t let this fish off the line, “Jimmy this pricing is based on you making monthly payments over 4 months, so in other words, although it will only take about 1 month for all of the work to be completed, we give our clients the option to break the payments up over a period of time to make it more affordable,”  Riff pauses for dramatic effective and scratches his chin, as if musing, “I’ll tell you what I would be willing to do Jimmy,” Riff pauses once again, “You had mentioned to me that you are looking to purchase more than 1 investment property, is that right?”

Jimmy states, “Yes, I want to see how this one goes but I’m interested in investing in real estate, in fact Riff, I’m actually bidding on 2 other properties right now.” Jimmy concludes.

“Good for you Jimmy,” Riff expresses, “more fortunes have been made in real estate than any other investment, and because you will be buying more properties its likely they will all need some type of repair work and my company can handle any need,”
